DOMESTIC DADDY

CORY WOULD KILL ME IF HE KNEW I DID THIS, BUT I GOT A KICK OUT OF IT! SO WE HAVE A NEIGHBOR THAT HAS A RASPBERRY FIELD AND WILL SELL YOU NOT ONLY THE RASPBERRIES, BUT THE KIT TO MAKE FREEZER JAM. SINCE CORY LOVES RASPBERRIES, HE DECIDED TO GET SOME. I THOUGHT CERTAINLY THEY WOULD GO BAD OR HE'D RELY ON ME TO MAKE IT. BUT TO MY SURPRISE, WHEN I GOT HOME FROM WORK LAST THURSDAY HE HAD MADE HIS FREEZER JAM! I HAVE TO ADMIT, HE'S TURNED INTO QUITE THE DOMESTIC DADDY!

FINALLY--NO TRAINING WHEELS!

AFTER A LITTLE PRACTICE SUNDAY AND MONDAY, MORGAN LEARNED HOW TO RIDE A BIKE WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS! SHE WANTED TO GIVE UP SEVERAL TIMES, BUT I BRIBED HER ENOUGH THAT SHE KEPT GOING. SURE ENOUGH, SHE KEPT GOING AND FINALLY IT JUST CLICKED! SHE WAS SO PROUD OF HERSELF AND THEN SHE DIDN'T WANT TO STOP. IT WAS SO CUTE TO WATCH HER GO FURTHER AND FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD, TURN AROUND, AND COME BACK WITH A BIG OLD GRIN ON HER FACE. GOOD JOB MORGIE!

Hogle Zoo 6-1-08

Oh Hogle Zoo... Whenever we get back from going to the zoo, I wonder why we went! Most of the animals are sleeping or you can't even see them. So here's my advice if you go to the zoo. First of all... take the train ride first. Otherwise, the kids will be crying the whole time wondering when their going to get on the train. Second of all, don't expect too much excitement from the animals. The only thing new to me since I went with my pre-school class was the albino alligator. So, basically, it's worth going about every 20 years!!! Just kidding! It's not about me, it's all about the kids.
